Zephyr Coffee Merchants is a full service green coffee provider to roasters worldwide. We’re involved in pre-finance, procurement, preparation, and export via our network of affiliated origin operations. From our trading office now located in Connecticut, we oversee hedging and risk management, domestic and international logistics, inventory maintenance, and quality control.

What’s the best way to buy coffee from Zephyr Coffee Merchants?

The main way to purchase from us is by calling or emailing us. We are always at our main phone line during normal business hours to make recommendations, tell you about our new arrivals, and send samples for evaluation. If you’re interested in becoming a customer, we ask you to fill out the form below before inquiring to place an order. Zephyr keeps the majority of its inventory in New York and Seattle, though we do have some assorted lots of coffee in Houston, Charleston, and Oakland.

What are your current offerings?

The tab above called offerlist will show the primary offerings that we have in Seattle and New York. It will include the number of bags available, the name of the warehouse, and the crop year.

Is there a minimum order size?

There is a minimum of 5 full size bags (ranging from 132lbs to 154lbs depending on the country of origin); however, we recommend ordering in full-pallet increments to optimize shipping costs. Shipping is billed separately by a third party freight forwarder unless requested to be included in the total from Zephyr.

Shipping Coffee

How does the coffee arrive to my facility?

When ordering from the warehouse, the coffee will be palletized and shipped. Upon purchasing coffee from us, we will put you in touch with a third-party freight forwarder based on your location. The freight forward will then reach out with rates and bill you directly after setting up an account—which takes just a minute! If you do prefer, we can include the shipping price in your order with us. When you buy coffee with us, you can elect to get the coffee moving right away or we would be happy to store it in our warehouse until you’re ready to get it shipped to you.

Most warehouses have a cutoff time if the order needs to go out the following day, we outline that information below.

How much will freight cost?

It depends, but we are always happy to get an estimated shipping rate from a freight forwarder. To get a quick rate, we need to know the warehouse you’re interested in buying from, the number of bags, and the final destination—and whether or not you need a liftgate for your order.

Do I have the option to pick up at the warehouse?

Yes, all of our warehouses offer the option of “will-call” pick up where you can physically pick up the coffee yourself.

When will my order ship?

In order to ship the following day, orders must be placed with Zephyr Coffee Merchants by 12pm PST at The Green Room (Seattle) and 3pm EST at Continental Terminals (New Jersey).
